I am going to start this by saying: I like this application. Now that I got that out of the way I'll talk a little about it. RecentX 2.0 is a great way of accessing files and folders on your system. The developers have done a great job of advertising the product on the website, too. There are several video demonstrations that you can view. Basically, what this application does is install a bar on the top of your screen from which you can access all your files. RecentX will index all your files and folders the first time that you open it. So after that, it will remember just where a given folder is and what files are therein. So, when you need to open a file, instead of going to Windows Explorer and going through several folders, you can simply type in a part of the name of the folder or file and RecentX will show the file to you. Once you find what you are looking for, you can open the file with the default application, open it with another application, copy the file, delete it, or even rename it, all without even opening Windows Explorer. I tried the demo and the thing is fast. Many Mac applications feel as well designed as this one, but I had never seen one as refined as this one for Windows. Kudoz to the developer. This review is for version 2.0. The latest version on the website is 2.0 (build 18).
